Yea if you were wondering like me, if it would work with an ipad, I had to modify the arms by cutting off the bent over bits and a bit on the back, spin it upside down and it works a treat. I couldnt find a product availble to mount my ipad in my truck this is a low cost option untill something purpose built comes along.

I use this to mount my iPad to my keyboard case for reading sheet music on a gig when I'm using a second keyboard on top. I used a hacksaw blade to cut off each curved "lip" of the adjustable retaining brackets. But for the price, it works perfectly. Holds the iPad at eye level and it stays put. See N.J. This mount is good for fast and easy installation and setup. Stick it to your windshield, click the computer into place and hit the road. I have an Eee PC 900 and I use it as a GPS navigation system. This mount makes mounting, remount and positioning a cinch. It is much more sturdy than I had ever imagined though it does have it's downfalls. On bumpy terrain or when going over big dips, the mount tends to bounce and hit the dash. And while the suction cup is more reliable than I thought it would be because of the locking mechanism, it is not fail safe. Its integrity is lessened in extreme hot and cold temperatures. The whole mount fell once after sticking it to a cold windshield, but it does a good job of holding onto the computer. Plus I now have little suction circles all over the inside of my windshield. However, if you're looking for a good mount that is not permanent and requires no modification of the interior of your car than this mount is for you.
