The plug is NOT intended for using in the US March 25, 2010 L. XIAO (Cerritos, CA, USA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought it from this vendor called "Westronics". My original Asus adapter had been twisted too much and decided to quit. I found the authentic one sold by Amazon.com for $50, that's 1/8 of how much I paid for my netbook. So I decided to give this OEM one a try. It seemed to be working fine, however I just found out that the 2-pin plug is not US standard, these two pins have equal width, so it won't fit the wall outlet tightly, that's why it was almost out of battery when I tried to use it, I thought it had been charged overnight, but it was not because the plug fell out the wall outlet. I also agree with one of the reviewers who mentioned the spark when you plug or unplug it.
It works, and looks just like the other EEE-PC Power Adapters. April 23, 2010 Freeman (Texas) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
They work. I got 4 or 5 of them to replace the original ones that were "Abused". These are in use in a Library setting where the laptops are circulated among our patrons. We have owned these for 1 month now, and they haven't died yet. :-)
Good replacement. March 17, 2010 Elizabeth L. Hyzy (Buffalo, NY) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Good replacement cord, I haven't had any problems with it so far. It seems better-constructed than the one that comes with the Eee, hopefully that's the case as the other one stopped working less than a year after me owning the laptop!
It does the job (kind of)... May 26, 2010 Cosmo M. (Dallas, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Not sure if it's just the one I received but unlike the original ASUS adapter, the charger doesn't seem up to the task of both charging and powering the netbook at the same time. Make no mistake, it definitely does charge the battery, just it appears that it will only do so while the machine is either powered down or in standby mode. Your mileage may vary...
Poor at Best. May 15, 2010 W. Cintron (FL, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The charger only works while the laptop is on, and is otherwise only poorly compatible with the laptop's power supply. If i had known i would have just ordered an official ASUS adapter.
